How to trade CFDs on Tesla
An investor has two options if he wants to trade stocks. The first option is to buy shares in companies listed in the market. For example, Tesla shares can be purchased on the NASDAQ index so that investors can own part of the company.
Alternatively, investors can trade using Contracts for Difference (CFDs) for a specific stock and take advantage of the price difference of the asset without the investor owning that asset. A CFD is a financial contract, usually between a broker and an investor. One party agrees to pay the other party the difference in the security value between the starting price and the final price. An investor can open a long position (benefiting from a price rise) or a short position (taking advantage of a lower price). This type of investment is considered short-term, as CFDs tend to be used for short periods.
When you trade Tesla shares using CFDs, you will not buy the underlying asset, which means you will not be tied to it. You only benefit from the increase or decrease in the stock price. CFD trading is no different from traditional trading when it comes to investment strategies. A CFD investor can have short or long positions, set stops and limits, and implement trading scenarios that match his goals.
